Been there done that. It’s amazing how clothes vs. just a bathing suit can change how a person looks. Especially when you only see them in their bathing suit!!!

when i was in the bag pipe band, i ran into someone from another band [i am female] and when he reminded me of his name, i said, ‘of course! i didn’t recognize you with pants on.’ his friends thought it was hysterical.

I have said the same thing to former patients I ran into in the grocery store.

I never recognize any of my riders when not in competition gear or at least standing next to their horse…Neighbours, too, if not in their yard, I don’t recognize some of them, either.

I wonder how she would react if Larry said that.

I had a similar situation with a friend’s mother. She had only seen me at her daughter’s house by the pool and I was always wearing a swim suit. The problem was she practically shouted, “this is the first time I’ve seen you wearing clothes.”, and we were in a funeral home.
