We do see others houses more than ours, but at the same time, we want our houses to be the bets on the block.A civic group started giving awards for housses that were improved in a run down neighborhood and it was amazing how soon the neighbors started fixing up their houses and front yards. They wanted the prize also(prize was a certificate and sign that said House of the Month).

If the houses you see from yours look like crap, it lowers your property value.

When we moved into our house 52 years ago we were the youngsters on the block. Now we are the oldest and some of the changes in our neighbors is far from positive.

One of the places I lived, the house next door was undoubtedly built at the same time as ours because it was the same exact design. So, in fact, looking at it was indeed almost like looking at our house! ☺

I don’t particularly care what my car looks like. Mostly I see it from the inside. The better it looks; the more likely someone would think it worth breaking into. :)

Unless you move into a suburban neighborhood with cookie cutter houses.
