I check ytube every hour on NYE as it turns midnight around the world. Sydney is a must and so is Bur Khalifa, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and NYC. If you can find Seattle, there will be a spectacular drone show before the midnight fireworks at the Space Needle.

We’re having our fireworks at 9pm, so people can go home early if they want.

The “one second” holiday. Too much fuss about a tick of the clock.

I think I still have a video tape machine that works, and an analog television that will show it. There goes my weekend, trying to find the Y2K New Years recording. It might be in my bunker with my survival hoard of Mountain Dew and Ramen Noodles.

I’m usually asleep by 10 pm, but my cat wakes me up when the fireworks start in my neighborhood, cause she hates them and she is climbing all over me to comfort her…..LOL!

The wife and I can watch the Times Square Ball drop at 9pm here in the west. That’s close enough to ring in the new year before we turn in

The count down has usually been a disappointment for me. I don’t know what I expect but I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything by going to bed earlier.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! Hope we all have a healthy, happy and prosperous New year!

They need a streaming app where you get to pick which Time Zone NYE event you watch.

When I lived out west, it was fun to watch the New York ball drop and then go to bed at a decent hour

I drop the ball, as I usually do, on my schedule.

The older you get, the more you learn that some things — New Year’s, election results — just aren’t worth losing sleep over.
