This makes me think that the new technology is the happening, but sometimes the old ways of doing things was nothing to sneeze at. I remember my mother, whom you younger readers might call a granny or even great grandmother, would hang two different types of what she called curtains on the windows. One in the middle of a lacy thin material that could easily let the sunlight through, and another off the sides of a thicker opaque curtain that can’t be seen through. When my mother didn’t want people to peek through the window she would draw the thick curtains closed.
People today that have never heard of curtains get no privacy in their rooms. What a shame.
