I don’t know why since I’m retired I have less time to read books. My worse performance in 2023: only one. On the other side I read two newspapers every day.

And to think that when I was young I worked, went to university, read two newspapers a day and 50 books every year.

He may have to rush through War and Peace to finish before next year’s book comes along.

That’s okay Brutus, when I start to read a book I always fall asleep.

I used to read a lot. Not so much anymore since my vision isn’t that good anymore. I like audio books. I’m currently listening to Fairy Tale by Stephen King.

I like to read while I’m reading. Newspaper at breakfast at and a book at lunch and dinner.

Uncle Ted is on a fixed income so he chose the economy version.

Uncle Ted knows a Good Book is a gift that keeps on giving to Brutus. Year after year.

Never much of a reader. Can’t sit that long. I end up falling asleep. I get plenty of nap time on one book.

then give him a book with ten pages on it… like a children’s book. it’ll even have pictures on it so he can do more then just read… or make it a coloring book. so he can do something else besides reading it. :D

That’s much more the perfect gift for Brutus than a book a month arriving only to sit wasteful piling up and unread.

I can’t take time out of busy schedule reading the comics to read a book.

There’s a copy of War And Peace on a bookshelf here, somewhere, steadily gathering dust.

Not a bad idea actually, as long as he chooses that one book. I sometimes go months without reading a book and there are times I read multiple books in a row. I have about 30 books in my queue of secondary books that I will get to soon enough but all primary books have been read. I can identify with Brutus on this one. I most definitely wouldn’t want a book of the month randomly sent to me……

“I only read when I eat or poop” commented one of Brutus’ friends out of frame. “Now when I eat it’s GoComics in AM or Stream vids in PM, I eat sitting front of my computer, and so I only read when I poop, beat that Brutus”…(true, two meals a day)
