Twig says, "How come they call Christmas trees 'Evergreens'?"
They stay green until someone kills them.
A good question……..
Everything turns to dust and decay once you kill it.
When his daughter was in grade school a friend of ours had an iguana. He and his daughter loved it. The iguana loved the Christmas tree the year they got it. They kept the tree for over six months so the iguana could climb and sit in it.
They ARE generally evergreen, if you don’t chop them down and keep them in a warm room for a few weeks!
