How ironic. He set the wheels in motion to get us to where we are now. One election away from religious fascism. Thanks uncle Ronnie.

The MAGA folks would think that Nixon and Reagan are to liberal for them. Nixon started the EPA and Reagan wanted comprehensive immigration reform. They don’t want Democracy anymore they want their Dear Orange Leader who only cares about himself and has no plans to help them. When the GOP is in charge the only thing they pass in government is tax breaks for the rich and corporation, the keep MAGA folks happy by talking about guns and jesus.

It would mean more if it was said by someone other than Reagan, a president who did more to eliminate democracy than any until trumpski.

Not many in the GOP believe this anymore. Dictatorship is their idea of government.

“Trump is worth dying for because he’s covered in the blood of Jesus Christ and supporting him means I’ll be welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven!” That was from one of my looney neighbors. I know I should move but the weather is great.

Ronald Reagan being a so-so kind of actor, brought his expertise to Washington… Only in America! you say…

Oh, shut up! The last thing I or anybody needs is servant-girl political science from an affable C-list actor. —Oh, and tell us again about how Medicare will be the absolute ruination of that there “honorable form of government”. And after that, if it’s honorable you want, try focussing your lorgnette on the House of Representatives. And after that, the Senate.

Reagan made a deal with Iran before he was president and subverted Jimmy Carter with his traitorous actions. Then Reagan’s Trickle down stole trillions from the middle class who are now the working poor. Remember Reagan’s drug war when he encouraged children to turn in their parents? Republicans are disgusting.

You’ll notice there are NO comments from the MAGAts.

    Embarrassed, I guess.

Man, I’m surprised at all the vitriol directed at President Reagan. I remember those times fondly, and it’s also good to remember that he was president of the screen actors guild and a successful governor of California, a state with the fifth largest economy in the world. And he was known as the great communicator, something I wish we could say about poor Joe Biden. Sure, some of his policies went sour but they should have been refined or eliminated by subsequent administrations. But no, the Republicans just doubled down on the trickle down theory and have run it into the ground. It seems to me that there are at least two explanations for all the Reagan hate. First it seems like everyone blames him for the present state of the Republican clown show. However, I think the descent started with the TEA party and then the Freedom Caucus wherein a minority of extremists somehow put the rest of the party over a barrel. And second, similar to the way that the Republicans spent millions of dollars to vilify Nancy Pelosi and make her the object of undistilled hatred by people who knew nothing about her, some entity (Democrats? the media?) have hammered away for years at the notion that the cowardice and complete lack of integrity in the current Republican Party is Reagan’s fault. Some of you ought to take the time to read a balanced biography of Ronald Reagan. I think you’d be surprised. Bring back the fireside chats!

Reagan did his right wing duty when he cut the tax rates for the rich in half.

And when given the chance to do so, Ronnie defended from Hollywood. Such courage. Such principle. Another do as I say, not as I do.
