It’s still amazing how close basketball games allow fans to sit courtside (could be dangerous too but I ’d be a bit more worried ringside at a sumo wrestling tournament).

Next thing you know, the stadiums will be completely empty.

In the 1910’s,the National League had an umpire named Byron who was called “Lord Byron” because he was an educated man who liked poetry.

Whenever a batter complained about being called out on strikes,Byron would recite a poem——-

    Let me tell you something,friend

    Before you grow much older

You cannot improve your average, Sir

With the bat upon your shoulder.

You’re serious: NBA players are such entitled divas with such delicate sensibilities that they can have fans ejected? Incredible. If anyone—even the most whiny, entitled NHL player (looking straight at you, Sidney Crosby) tried that, the refs would laugh uproariously at him, tell him to forget it, and get back to the game. And the rest of the league would never let him hear the end of it.

Tell NBA players to man up and deal with it. Ye gods…

Hockey fans can sit closer to the action with but a thin sheet of glass separating them from the action. Imagine Spike Lee trying to trash talk an opponent with glass separating them. :)
