I remember the SECOND Franklin arc. The strip is divided into two neighborhoods—the original characters on one side and Peppermint Patty,Marcie, and Franklin in the other.
Franklin wandered in looking for Charlie Brown—-most of kids wondered why ANYBODY would look for Charlie Brown. Then Franklin got a load of Linus and his blanket and Snoopy’s “Flying Ace” bit,anddecided to go back to his own neighborhood where kids behaved normally.
And if Franklin thinks he can win a sporting event with Charlie Brown as a partner,he really IS the new kid in the neighborhood!!
