I prefer desktops to laptops.

Rory knows what a desktop is?

I keep a wire connected desktop for security doing medical or financial things, wifi can be hacked (so can everything else but it is just another level of safety). I use my laptop for everything else.

I still have a desktop. Two, in fact – a Mac and a PC. I also have an iPad, a Kindle Fire, and a Boox. Different tools for different jobs.

And for those of you wondering, what I would do at a laptop, I do at the iPad.

And what is wrong with having a desktop? They come with a decent keyboard and at least one full sized monitor. Oh, and a mouse so you don’t get fingerprints all over the monitor.

Desktops rule! I upgraded mine last year – 64GB RAM, 20TB disk (soon to be updated to 36TB) and a huge monitor. I do a lot of video and audio editing. Was going to get a new laptop, but got a high end tablet instead and it does everything I need in a portable device (and was a fraction of the cost).
