we have a new law proposed in japan to criminalize something called “customer harassment.” when i first saw the phrase, i thought it referred to snotty clerks abusing customers, but it turns out it’s the reverse, nasty customers mistreating store employees by doing mean things like yelling at them. what’ll they think of next…? ☺
