In MGM’s Thin Man movies, the phrase “the Thin Man” eventually was used to refer to detective Nick Charles (originally it was a suspect in the first movie). In Universal’s Frankenstein movies, the name “Frankenstein” eventually was used to refer to the creature (originally it was creator). People who call the creature “Frankenstein” are reflecting the lore of the classic movies rather than the classic novel, and there’s no reason they shouldn’t.

To be fair, Frankenstein’s a pretty good name for a monster

Dr. Victor Frankenstein IS the monster who produced the creature.

Carla just needs the practical info. The Boys can be trusted to work out the useless info. In detail.
