Mrs. Limekiller seems a tad optimistic for someone impaled on an Antarctic iceberg. Can Opus (a.k.a. “Mr. Opurt”) rescue her?

It says a lot about her in that the harpoon pierced both ear holes and didn’t hurt her.

When that lady says she’s just “hanging out” she means it. Oh and by the way, petitions don’t work. I’ve been petitioning my Representative and my two Senators, “Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber”, for years and it doesn’t do any good at all.

Petitions are a step below UN sanctions (but way above THREATS of UN sanctions) on the effectiveness list.

And U N sanctions are three steps below rational expectations of compliance.

Does anyone here know if the Russians are still whaling? The Japanese are the only ones I’ve seen in the news about it lately.

(I could look it up myself but since there are obviously still whales left 25 years after this cartoon, there is a limit to how concerned I can get.)

Give it time pschearer, those pesky whales will be all gone soon enough. But it won’t be the hunting that does it. Pollution and climate change – THAT’S the ticket!

Shoot, we haven’t HUNTED a species to extinction in a LONG time – DoDos were the last one weren’t they?

The California Grizzly Bear was hunted to extinction by the mid-1920’s, around 150 years after the Dodo.

The last dodo was gone by 1700. I can’t get upset about the California Grizzly as long as they live in five other states plus Canada. As for recent extinctions caused by hunting, consider the passenger pigeon, the last one dying in a zoo in 1914.

But extinction happens. I just don’t want it to happen to us.

When I was a student at the seminary, there was a person there who put forth the proposition that you could petition the Lord with prayer…petition the Lord with prayer… YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!!!!!
