I had to go “there.” Had a friend at my company whose dog got his head stuck in a chip bag. suffocated. they found him like that… it was devastating for their kids.
I once rescued a duck at the zoo that had his neck wrapped with one of those plastic holders for six packs. It took a pocket knife because it was on there pretty good. He was not grateful.
I stopped on a highway for a cat walking down the lane and jumping in the air batting at something – when I got closer I could see it had a Doritos bag stuck on it’s head and it was trying to get the bag off. I ran over to it and pulled the bag off – the cat’s face was all wet from the moisture in its breath trapped in the bag – and it was having a hard time breathing. It got its breath back and ran off towards its house. That’s the problem with folks just tossing the bags instead of putting them in the trash. DW tells me that she’s found dead dogs and cats with food bags on their head. They smell the food and they’re really hungry – deadly combination.

That’s a silly question to ask with Norm in the household.

This week, Grover on “The Neighborhood” asked for help putting on his hoodie. His dad said those were sweatpants.
I immediately thought of Norman.
