Do you know how to roller-skate?

Yes – did it as a little girl with those thingies you fastened to your regular shoes. You could change their size with a clock-windup key.

I was 45 in 1990 when I bought my first pair of rollerblades. Don’t give up just because you’ve never done it before.

I know how to roller skate, inline skates work best for me. I found out recently there is an ice skating arena close by, I am much better on ice skates than roller skates. Both help me keep fit.

It’s easy, just like ice skating only on wheels.

Last time I tried roller skating, I fell so hard on my butt I couldn’t sit down without a cushion for almost a month.

Another thing to consider before you do, how are you fixed for health insurance.

The last time I went roller skating, I broke my elbow. No more skating for me!

I had the roller skates with a key. I skated every day as a child. Sneakers were the worst to wear with skates so I would use different shoes that they could hold on the skates.

Better make sure to wear a helmet, elbow and knee pads.
