I’ve wondered this for decades… What the heck is going on with Roland’s hat?

Is the cockpit ready for the cockfight?

Back then, the smell of smoke in a cockpit was pretty much the same as the smell of cigarette smoke anywhere, only more concentrated.

My father-in-law didn’t smoke, but thirty-plus years of working as a flight engineer left his lungs looking like those of a pack-a-day man.

Stay away from Generation 1.0! It’s bound to have a lot of bugs! ☺

We were exposed to rapid decompression in Air Force training, so you could tell the difference between “smoke in the cockpit” and condensing water vapor. (Planes are expensive.) Roland seems to be smelling hot air.
