Sometimes superstitions shield you from bad luck…..

Carpenters are very superstitious. How so, you ask?

They’re always knocking on wood.

A man was walking along a stream..

… when he noticed that every shoot growing put of the ground was a four leaf shamrock. There were millions of them, spread out along both banks.

Being superstitious, the man assumed the place must be somehow imbued with an extraordinary amount of luck.

He sought out the owner of the land, and promptly bought it, spending everything he had to do so.

His plan was to build a small house at the site and thereby ensure he would be surrounded by good fortune for the rest of his life.

Sadly, while lifting smooth river stones to create the foundation of his dream home, he slipped on some mud, hit his head on a stone, was knocked unconscious, tumbled into the water, and drowned.

This conclusively proved to the townsfolk, that the location was not lucky at all.

The moral of this story?

Don’t judge a brook by it’s clover.

I’m not superstitious…

…but I never walk under black cats.

Why tempt the demons, I will not walk under a ladder, avoid the number 13, wish upon a shooting star. But NO! I don’t consider myself superstitious.

I’m glad to see that Muffy has returned

Muffy should be able to make her own luck, as she’s one bird with nice legs.

They’re trying hard with this new character but I’m not that impressed

and sometimes its just bad luck

So Muffy is going to be a new central character instead of the random gold digger ?

I guess Muffy is a new regular on the strip. Better than that stupid frog from Heathcliff.

Born under a bad sign, been down since the day I was born. If it weren’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have no luck at all. ( Don’t remember who sang that blues song.)

I’m not superstitious, but why tempt fate?

I’ve always believed in luck. As a salesman the harder I worked the luckier I got…
