Maybe a scene from the first draft of the book, then E.B. White decided to take the story in a different direction?
I recall that in the actual book, Templeton brought Charlotte the word “crispy,” and she had to ask him to try again. Glad she had more sense than the one depicted here.
Has it occurred to anyone that the web-spinner is Lola, using the fake web stuff they sell at Halloween? Bet she’s looking forward to her BLT.
