Hello everyone, I am a newbie, I have stickie buns, but I don’t think that you want to touch them, eat them or see them.

Drystyha, to answer your question from yesterday; no, I do not do the cooking in my house. When I met my lady, we both loved to cook. It meant more to her, so I now cook when she would prefer not to. But, I have become the baker and make most of our bread. So everyone, I have a plate of freshly made rolls with caramelized onions. Help yourselves.

Good morning all!! That was nice to have donuts brought by rob, but how many years old are they? I’ll take cleo’s stickie buns instead. I still have apple juice if anyone wants.

JOY, I saw SOTU, you go girl!!

I’ve noticed some folks have had a little scuffle with the resident SOTU British know-it-all satipera. . Satipera reversed is Arepitas. . Arepitas de maiz (Corn flour fritters) is a side dish that can also be served as hors d’oeuvres. It is very easy to prepare and can be made by even the least experienced cook. Time: 15 Min’s Difficulty: easy Serve: 4 people

1 cup cornmeal ½ cup of oil for frying 2 tablespoons of milk 1 teaspoon of sugar ½ teaspoon of salt ½ teaspoon of aniseed 2 eggs

Preparation: Mix all ingredients except the oil. In a shallow frying pan heat the oil. Pour the mix one spoonful at a time into pan, making small pancakes. Fry till golden brown on both sides. Serve immediately. . I just thought this was amusing for our little ”Brit Fritter”.

Hate to look like an idiot, but what is SOTU? I’ve seen references to it before, but the only SOTU I know is “State of the Union” (as in the annual address from the President) and I know that’s not right.

Drystyha, yes we live on a lake. It is beautiful here, private even though we have houses around us. We have a park like yard. My wife is a gardener and has made our home feel like a vacation retreat.

Soooo, the story on speeding home. I got all packed up from the trade show and had top go across town to pick up the stupid virus-free (now) computer. I’m already running late getting on the road so I might have been a little over the limit when I come around a corner and there stands a huge 8 point mule deer. That’s not 4 points each side like back east there but 8 on each side! I swerve to the shoulder where some moron dropped a box of screws and I got a flat on both right tires, in the middle of nowhere. Called AAA and had them bring me 2 new tires mounted on wheels and then had to go back & get them put on my wheels!

JFri, What a bummer, lucky you were able to get some new tires. I’m so glad you didn’t hit the deer. Joy, I think you’re a star on SOTU now!

Dry it didn’t work well i will tell you how to do it on papper you put down two of theses > < like so but closer like this>< that is the eyes then under for the mouth you draw a strate line kindof like this __ then from the line a toung sticking out like this U and you got your self a very cool looking smily face sticking out its toung. also they were all at Jfri not you but forgot to say that. i will see if i can edit it. lol

Carmy they are new so its funny, they havent even been here a year yet, maybe 5 months. i have become closer to those fine ladies then ever. it is a couple husband and wife living with her mom and dad. they are rasing the young couples daughters 3 little boys. when i have a bad day i go there. they make everything better. they are all so so sweet. i love those ladies more then i can say. they have both beent here for me durring my hard time about a month 1/2 ago. they are so sweet. i need people like that in my life. i need to say thank you more often to them, i just thought of that.

That is great that they are helping you and being very sweet. Are they from La. too or did they come from somewhere else?
