Ah, it’s Sunday. Today we get to hear about Tabby’s prom. Tabby, a few of us had questions about your babysitting situation. Please read them if you have time. :-)

Coffee is on, and it’s french toast and bagels today.

marg you beat me to making French Toast. I was going to make some for pookid! OK I’ve got OJ, coffee (regular & nuclear, docT) & ice cold milk.

I’ll bring chokecherry syrup. I love chokecherry syrup.

JFrisch, I’ll have nuclear grade, after all I am an Northwesterner.

You know, I’ve got to comment on Big Top. I find nothing worse than getting a hot seat from a seat warmer that has been left on. I, for example, never get cold. I can wear shorts in 40 degree weather. Most everyone else is a bit less agreeable to cold weather. It can be quite shocking to sit on a seat that has been pre-warmed. I heard of a case of someone who had a disability and couldn’t register the difference in temps being severely burned by a seat warmer malfunction. My addition of non-interesting trivia. LOL

yes all i had fun thanks for asking. i saw 4 of my fav. teachers and 3 of them are my best friends. i danced alot and learned that i most defentily cant dance (or spell. sorry) i had a blast i didnt reconize myself when i looked in the mirrow. i was like wow. i will see what i can do w/ the pics latter. happy sunday all. reading these comments and hitting the sack. im wiped out. also getting some ice or something for my feet. wow they hurt. how do women were heels all day?

i have blisters. yuck. ocuh. ugh!!!

to all who questioned my babysitting of my cousin Ana. yes, her mother does pay me, sometimes. it could take weeks to get the money she owes me, other times shell have it the day after. but she is bad about it. she uses me and i know it. i just love that bleeep child like my own. ugh. she also pays me less then the reg. babysitter. idk why. who knows.

okay guys. im out i can not keep my eyes open any longer. im so tired. i am not even trying to get this makeup off my dad can deal with it. i may wear a dress tomorrow bc they want me to be fancy to go eat some wheras after with someone. ugh one day is enoguh. well see yuo all tomorrow. im not sure how this is being typed eyes are playing slot machines. night.

Glad you had fun Tabbylynn. I too am looking at my mattress with envy. I have to say I look forward to HEARING from you all tomorrow. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to view you all as nature intended. You are beautiful folk and I feel privileged to know you. See you in a few hours.

Good morning Dry. As I said it’s sunny here in WA, but 33 degrees when I last looked. But, what the heck, I’m in shorts.

cleo can I assume the chokecherry syrup is homemade from your chokecherry shrub?

No Dry, I have to go to Montana to get it. But I stock up on each trip. It’s good stuff. Here the popular berry syrup is huckleberry. I also like Saskatoon berry syrup, but I have to travel for that one too.

cleo that’s some travelin’ you do! It’s not just for the syrups, you know, the price of gas and all! :-)

Morning All, slept in today and I’ve been busy since I got up. Thanks for the coffee and goodies. I’ve got some cinnamon rolls, help yourselves to them. I’m glad Tabby had a nice time, sorry for the sore feet though. Doc, you should be happy it didn’t snow.

I’m stuffed. I should never be tempted with cinnamon rolls and on top of all that fruit. Oh well, what’s for lunch?

Wake up Doc! Apparently you need something to do so, you’re in charge of getting some veggies for our party. Joy, Your avatar, what is that a photo of?

Good afternoon all,

To cover a few questions from yesterday: Lime buns recipe: I don’t really have a “recipe”, here’s what I do - I make a batch of sweet dough in my breadmaker (so about 1 loaf worth), roll it out flat like you would for cinnamon buns. Smear it with about 6 T. of softened butter/marg (butter is best). Spread about 1 C white sugar evenly over the butter, and sprinkle 2 limes worth of grated zest. Roll it up and slice into buns, bake, and there you go. I recommend tipping the buns upside down onto wax paper when you take them out. As to the other question, I don’t live in Alaska, I’m actually in southern Alberta, where we’re still waiting for global warming to show up. This has been one of the longest/coldest winters in probably a decade.

Lordy, I’ve been gone about 3 hours and we are up to 64! Sombody’s chattie today!

Cleokaya - I agree, chokecherry syrup is the best. I grew up with the stuff, but it’s getting harder to find places to pick the chokecherries.

DigitalFrog, it sounds like you make your own chokecherry syrup, yum.

JFri, I’ve still got some potato salad with caraway. It’s good, everyone who tries it wants the recipe. I made some baguettes so I’ll bring them as well as a crab-shrimp dip.

Cleokaya - not myself, but my mom and mom-in-law do, so we try to swipe some when we go to visit :) We do have a wonderful currant bush in the back yard, that my wife mixes with raspberries to make a syrup thats almost as good as chokecherry.

donkeymom, what part of GA? Hope you’ve been able to avoid the storms the last few weeks. I’m in Cobb County and most have passed above or below me - Thurs got about 40 minutes of hail, which I could have done without.

So in all seriousness, does anyone know how to get Burt’s Bees lip balm out of a t-shirt? I keep one in my car, and I was opening the top to put some on my lips, and it had turned into liguid, pomegranate color! *IT WAS SO HOT JFRI, IT HAD LIQUIFIED! :-P *

Dry: AZ doesn’t observe daylight savings time. Right now PDT is the same time that we are. And folks on the East coast are three hours ahead of us.

Marg, oh that’s right, and I believe Ind. is the same way, doesn’t observe EST. Often wondered how that worked!

Owlsly,i will be praying for you both also. i know what its like seeing the people in your life drink. its hard. i drank at one point in my life. a lot for being 15 or 16. my mother handed me the wine and told me have at it. i drank wine coolers and some drink called “sex on a beach” something else. she is a terrible kind. i quit, i didnt want tobe like her, still dont. it will be hard times Owlsly but i will keep you in my prayers, and good vives are coming your way. the only thing you can do is pray for her now and be there for her. its hard but its what you do when you love someone. God bless.

nope the perp wasnt apprehended I will let it be for the tyme being…but the acid she pours it me is hard to take…as if I were at fault for her alcohol abuse any who have lived wyth it knows how it feels to be in this situation..folkes who drink to excess are not able to communicate properly…I learned a long tyme ago arguing with one who is drunk is a no win situation…the best you can hope for is they pass out before they get your goat..one cannot win an argument with A drunk

Owlsly, I think you might be surprised at how many of us know exactly what you mean and what you are going through. It does get better, sometimes not as fast as we’d like, but it does.

owlsly, if you dont mind, how long have you tow been toghter? im so sure that you love her, and are deeply and madly in love with her. if not it would not bother you as much as it does. you two will make it. you both just have to work harder. she will pull thourh it. i have faith. you are a great guy to be there for her. just do what you can keep your cool and love her no matter what.

if you love someone like you love your wife it will all end well. i may not get along with my mother, but that doesnt mean that you two wont make it. it is diff then that.

Although we have just met, I can only wish you the best. Dealing with issues in a family is tough because you are facing it at all times. Just remember that we, your toon family, will always be supportive.
