Pomegranate Lime juice, lemon ade, espresso, assorted tea and the coffee is from a source far removed from the contamination occurring near doctortoon. If you want contamination of a nuclear sort you know where to find the source.

I’ll pitch in, but I’ve got that meat and potatoes feel this morning/evening.

I’ve got eggs(your choice, scrambled, over easy, etc.), bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, ham, hash browns, Texas toast and an assortment of juices and of course Nuked Coffee via the pipeline.

tabby - That did sound like a garlic smoothie, didn’t it. Dag blast it girl, drink it, it’s good for you. It keeps vampires away. So, have you spent the whole day driving around, looking cool, burning rubber, cruising, etc?

Morning, tribe. I knew I should have taken pictures of the silo just down the road from me that had the top blown off, and a couple other silos crumbled. Just for the record, my first 3 cars are classics. (Only one of them was a classic when I owned it.) ‘64 Chevy Impala ‘66 or ‘67 (I forget which year it was) Chevy II (Nova) ‘65 Ford Mustang - with a 351 Cleveland, 3 speed. My favorite, unfortunately my mom totalled it the week before I moved out of state. tabby - My next car was a ‘72 Toyota (I’m trying to remember the model - maybe a Corolla?) I really enjoyed that, and appreciated the better mpg than the Mustang’s. Warning: if you burn rubber, that means flat spots on your tires, and will have to buy new tires sooner.

My very first was a Ford Galaxy 500 2 door - ie. superboat. Nice ride, and people always made way for me to merge, but it burned oil so bad I kept a case in the trunk. Oddly, there were no mosquitos in our neighborhood that year. Sold it to my brother’s friend a few months later, his gf wrapped it around a light post (it’s size probably saved her life)

He decided to make coffee that morning for the rest of us. 1 1/2 cups of ground coffee in the basket of a 10 cup coffeepot! Talk about NUCLEAR COFFEE!! Oh we teased him something awful, but he had a good sense of humor! I haven’t thought about that in years!! :-D

So doc would it be possible to use your nuclear coffee as fuel for a vehicle. and get good mileage out of it.

@ladywolf, you might try doc’s coffee as fuel, but I’d hate to see what the engine would look like. Assuming you could find it.

Edit: as in Calvin and Hobbes:

Calvin: Hobbes, I have a conjectural moral question. Maybe you can help. Hobbes: Sure. Calvin: Suppose I did something bad. Should I tell Dad? Hobbes: How bad are we supposing? Calvin: Well, hypothetically, let’s say pretty bad. Like to his car hypothetically. Hobbes: How bad, hypothetically, to his car? Calvin: Well, let’s pretend it was real bad. Hobbes: Should we pretend it could be fixed? Calvin: If we imagined he could find the car, we could pretend it might be fixed. Hobbes: I see. (next panel) Hobbes: You can keep the book. I’ll call the bus station. Calvin: ‘Que pasa, senorita? I am el fugitivo!

For my wife in the morning I get her coffee ready so that she can have her latte when she is ready. I have and individual french press that you hang from the rim of your cup. I use 5 Tbls. of coffee for my one cup. It still isn’t really as strong as I would like, but it is hard to put any more in and still have a little space to add water, as it is, it takes about a minute for me to add enough water for a cup, as it sinks through the ground coffee.

*DF* - When you say sketchy, you of course must be referring to my art school background. It was at Vancouver Art School that I perfected my talent by sketching nude models as often as directed (even if I didn’t want to). Of course there never was a time that I didn’t want to, but there of course could have been. ;-p

Best advice I got from a co-worker - if they’re going to take one, have them all taken out at the same time. I was sick as a dog for three days, thank God I won’t have to go through THAT again!

Dry - My connection is fine. But my internet filter doesn’t like certain words, or combination of words - don’t know exactly which ones set it off. Just like when you get the “penguin” page - I get nothing on the page the filter blocked. If it is the ad that is causing the problem, it will just block the ad. (I get that often when I go to YouTube.) So I know it is because of some word choice. Frustrating, but with 3 males in the family (and 2 of them are geeks) we have to have a filter that they can’t circumvent, which means I can’t either.

Lonewolf - I’ve noticed I’ve had less problems since I switched to using Firefox as my browser, instead of IE. I still have IE, because some radio archive programs won’t work on Firefox. IE just kept either not responding, or just shutting down. Much less frustration with Firefox in that regard. I’ve not had the Norton be too overbearing, about the only times I can recall it popping up saying it had protected me were when I was traveling, and using the hotel’s network. Figured it was justified then.

I pulled a Shika. But I won’t be up much longer, the reason I was absent the past few days is heavily linked to my lack of sleep lately. I need a full night of sleep. It is 8:40 here. and I need to be up at 4:55, so if you are doing your surprise tonight, I’ll wait, Otherwise, I probably can’t stay awake much longer.

We have AVG at work, and frankly, I am quite happy with it. I think when Norton comes up for renewal I may switch over. And it’s free, at least what we have at work, and it does the job! When Norton runs a scan you can’t do anything else on the computer, very annoying! I schedule the scan, but it also seems to have a mind of its own and pops up every now and then. Sometimes I close it out and sometimes I don’t!

Akenta - It would be nice to know just what words set it off. If the filter pops up soon after just a few posts on the page, and I happen to notice, I’ll do what I can to get it flipped to the next page quickly. Then maybe you guys can see if there is a pattern to when it blocks a page. One time it blocked a page from the church’s “Adult Ministries”. I’m guessing there was another word on the page like b o o k s (just being careful to avoid setting off again) that set it off. If we can figure out what words do it, there are always ways to reword something.

Dry I already had a big problem with Norton when I tried to upgrade it. It just got so bad it started to block my own emails and even block my work on Microsoft Word. And it kept telling me I need to download a new version. I had to uninstall everything and do a system restore that lost lots of info on me before we got it straightened out.

I think that Norton and Live update have a feud going. and both of them fight HP.

I don’t consider myself a computer geek, because I just learn what I need to know to do what I want to do, not because I love playing with the tech part. I’ve used computers at work ever since punchcards, and my FIL bought a PC for our home use when I quit to be Mom. With a geek for a husband, we’ve never been without a computer since then - and usually have had several at the same time.

Shika - The reason that Firefox is safer than using IE, is because not as many computers use it, so the hackers usually try for the largest population. Probably some of it is that Firefox users are probably less gullible on the whole than IE users, since computer novices tend to use whatever default programs come installed on their machine.

I have another friend, much younger who loves them too, and she’s working on her PhD in music composition. I think she’s composed music about wolves too.

Dry We called that cat fits. You can tell when it is going to happen: They literally get “wild-eyed and bushy tailed” and then they tear around like the tazmanian devil on Doc’s coffee.

Except Mua’s never been one to tear around. He’s always had this wheeze that stops him from running much, even as a young cat.

He just gets this hilarious wild-eyed look and then attacks what ever is handy.

Usually a shoe or slipper. Often the newspaper too.

No Lonewolf. I think it has more to do with drinking 98 bottles of beer on the wall and then a gallon of Doc’s coffee.

I think it’s when I turned upside down that I was given a citation and community service teaching meditaion for a month.

LOL I don’t think they want to see the effects of meditaion when I lead it. Levatation anyone?

    (Just kidding!)

Dry I’ve always wanted a cat for Mua to play with. I’m tired of doing shadow puppets on the wall for him. And playing hide and seek with him is hard. He can hide way better than I can.

But three things keep me from getting another cat. Well, primarily not having enough money to feed more than one cat. Not always enough to feed myself. :-)

Lack of a car to take them with me places. My renting a car to transport Mua around are long gone.

Lack of a house and yard, although I just wish I had a little home and garden for myself, let alone a couple of cats.

Anyways, I’m off to beddy-bye. See you sometime tomorrow.

    Good Night

Hi cleo! I’m sorry it has been so hot for you over there in WA. When we were living there, we had a hot summer once also. One day the temp hit 100. I couldn’t believe it. right now in FL, we are getting a thunderstorm almost every afternoon. I wouldn’t mind a break from that!

tabby - Since my wife does most of the cooking, I do the dishes and it irks me that she doesn’t worry about how many dirty dishes that she creates or how hard they are to clean. When I cook , I try to minimize sticky hard to wash dishes.

Hi Tabby! I am doing okay, hope you are too. Maybe the heat caused your nosebleed?

cleo, we take turns cooking and with the dish washing. I’ve noticed that the cook for the day goes a bit overboard on the dishes too. I always at least rinse something when I’m done with it, especially if it’s sticky, etc.

    Hi, Tribe.

My wife is a Realtor and I went with her to a new listing to get information on the new clients’ home and once we had opened the door and entered the house… MERROW! - MERROW! we found it under the protection of a very vocal and protective tabby cat. MERROW! - MERROW! That cat followed us around every room MERROW!

When the occupants of the house returned the guardian kitty ceased following us around and left. Its duty complete.

I thought that was rather neat.

Yes, when I cook I try to minimize dishes becasue I have to wash them. Does anybody else, NO! Of course about the only time anyone else cooks is when my oldest is home.
