Grog - - - Today I have the Jaguars/Giants and Packers/Falcons early and of course DA BEARS/Eagles late.

♠Lonewolf♠, the Titans/Texans is the only game in town here early (because the Texans are at home) and the Eagles/Bears game is the only late game because of it’s Fox double header week.

The Packers/Falcons is the only game I’m going to watch early and I’ll rabbit ear the Bears game later while the Dolphins/Raiders will be my main course.

I’ve got the dip already prepared and the chips & Pepsi are standing by.

I’ll just have my last piece of cheese cake during the early game. I’m planning on a big dose of left-overs tonight.

Wolfangil made a second turkey since we didn’t have any leftovers. So we’ll be devouring that in the next few days.

None at all? I’ve never heard of that happening. You guys must have been hungry to give the carcas to the mice on the very first day. Anxious to see the parade I guess.

BFF is coming along well. She’s home and working her butt off to get back on her feet without a walker. She got in and out of the car yesterday without assistance from me…. I’m so proud of her. Couple of set backs but all in all a good week. May get a quick toontour in while she naps. Thanks for the karma. It worked again!! Will update when I can during the week. Someone has to go back to work dammit.

My college game of the week was the Auburn/Alabama game. Aubrun, down 24-0, came back to win 28-27. The best game of the year.

Second Hand Lions is a good comedy but I not sure where to watch it. Hulu doesn’t have it.

Movies without a lot of violence like District 9. (although I liked the storyline of it…just not the yuk)

I am considering the movie “Last Three Days” with Russell Crowe…curious about it….and may go tomorrow.

I like historical, comedies, romance, yes, I enjoyed Second Hand Lions, Sojo Most anything with Michael Caine.

I have enjoyed a couple of the Harry Potter ones too, Secretariat and a lot of the old ones.

HopeandJoy, I think you would like The North Avenue Irregulars, I really liked it.

♠Lonewolf♠, I’m really surprised Cutler didn’t spend more time throwing from his backside. I expected the Eagles “D” to dominate, but it didn’t. They made it a little too interesting in the end for my liking though.

Grog, I agree about the ending. In the beginning they were pressuring Cutler, but all of a sudden the pressure stopped. Whether by what the Bears did or what the Eagles didn’t do, I’m not sure. But I’m glad they won and the Pack lost!

Hi, Wolfie! Sounds like you and James have had a busy weekend.

Rmom - Yes. I went to Oklahoma late Friday afternoon went to church Sunday and returned after that getting here around noon. Got to see a lot of my realitives, play games with them, watch a HD movie and OU vs. OSU football team on a large screen TV, etc. Plus good home cooked meals. It was a good and much needed change of pace!

Sojo - I’m so glad you had a good time. As you say, it was a much needed change of pace! I’m still trying to get caught back up. I’ll need to head to bed pretty soon, but at least hubby doesn’t have to get up nearly as early tomorrow. He’s got to be in Wichita at 8am, which is much better than being in SE KS by 6am.

Sojo - I’ve got lots of leftover ham, do you want some? It is really good, I got it from Stroot’s. We cooked it in the crock pot (which it wasn’t an easy fit) all night and half the next day. Then it was so tender that it fell off the bone. I detest rubbery ham, especially with a sweet glaze. Yucky-poo!

Rmom - That’s good. I remember when I had my sales route. Every other week I had to set up at a store in Liberal and be ready by 9:00 a.m. I had to get up at 4;30 and leave by 5:00.

Wolfie - I enjoy playing pool too. I just wish it was convenient enough for me to play often enough to get better at it. I used to play it a lot, but since I’m lucky if I get to play a few games once a year, I’m horrible at it now.

Rmom - That would be nice but I wouldn’t want to inconvience anyone.

Sojo - Liberal is quite a long & boring drive! I’ll save some ham for you then.

@Rmom, I’d take a ham sandwich, or even just a slice or two. I love a good ham. Every year or so, we get ham from Wimmer’s in West Point, NE–yum!

Getting to church wasn’t so bad this weekend–it was all the extras–putting out slips with a new prayer the bishop wants us to use, making sure it got on the petition sheet, bringing supplies, putting out new books for the new (liturgical) year, etc. etc. And that after losing a day or two for Thanksgiving. Sometimes I wonder if they pay me enough. Then I remember: of course not!

@Rmom & Sojo–around here, there is a boring stretch of road–and several others have agreed with me–and it’s only a little over 30 miles. But it’s the worst drive for boredom, even though the views should be good. I have yet to put my finger on why it’s so bad.

Pool is my main hobby, Rmom. And it keeps me out of trouble, too! LOL

Rmom - That was a long communt to work! One week was southwest the next week was northwest Kanses. Liberal was the longest start of the week for me.

bmonk - This ham isn’t sliced, since it fell off the bone. I’ve got it in chunks. Since my dad raised hogs, I prefer the meat that goes through as few hands as possible.

One morning to Liberal a compact car with 4 women in it passed me at a high rate of speed. 55 mph was the limit then. Sure enough a little later I passed them while a Highway Patrolman had them pulled over. Shortly after that they went flying past me agaiin. Once again I passed them while they were stopped by another patrolman. You might guess what happened at this point. They went flying passed me again and I soon passed them as they were pulled over a third time! It gave the truckers something to talk about on the CB radio.
