Some years ago, I was standing bemusedly in the aisle of a big box store looking for something my wife had sent me to get. I wasn’t having any luck and was muttering to myself about the matter. A very young and quite attractive female employee approached and asked me if she could help me find anything. I replied, “Yes ma’am, I’ve lost my marbles could you help me find them?”. She tossed her head and retorted, “Sir, I can’t find what you never had.” I burst into laughter and gathering the tattered remnants of my dignity asked her where a particular item was and she showed me. Later I complimented her to the manager about her customer service skills. She only worked that summer before going off to college. I hope life has treated her well.

Maybe you do, Broomie, and maybe you don’t.
