Probably just vacationers passing through. You boys need to find some real town residents as these ones are too wrapped up in their own petty dramas.

I wonder if the arc will now segue to those two losers—and others of their ilk.

Write a comic about it and publish it on-line! You’ll get all kinds of positive, creative, thoughtful, responsible comments to help you resolve your problem. There are many supportive, caring folks out there just waiting to express their views.

Changing the town name is not a good idea. They’re already on the map with their current name and if they change it, travelers will wind up confused as to where they are. They’ll be looking for the city’s old name and think they’ve made a wrong turn. Best leave things as they are.

Who’s going to pay for everything that needs to be changed – Mail, letterheads, calling cards, street signs, maps, etc

I have to say, whenever anyone approaches on things like this, my standard reply is, “I don’t discuss religion or politics.” I used that with some frequency back when I was still a productive member of society. It doesn’t come up much these days.
