When I was the age where I left my teeth for the tooth fairy, we got a dime per tooth.

Is this comic retro? Because a quarter is nothing today. When I was a kid back in the 60’s I got a quarter for a regular tooth and 50 cents for a molar. I had my two adult bottom front teeth grow behind the baby teeth so they didn’t push out the baby teeth and my mother had a very hard time getting them out. She ended up giving me a dollar for each which was a lot of money back then.

My brothers and I never got anything for a tooth. Maybe a “congratulations”. Never heard of a Tooth Fairy until I had kids, but they never got anything for their teeth either. We didn’t miss anything and neither did they. I think having the “tooth fairy” leave money for kids’ teeth is a stupid practice.

Our boys got silver dollars. If they chose to do so, they could sell them to us for a paper dollar or its equivalent. I think the idea was to give them back to them later but I’m pretty sure we started recycling, even offering to fund a grandson’s tooth event.

My grandsons now get money and little toys. I don’t know how the tooth fairy can carry it all!

Are you sure the tooth fairy is not a ‘he’ these days?

When did Zoe’s parents have a brochure? Are they just now adding Wren to Hammy and Zoe?

Careful raising the reward. You’ll have to keep giving a dollar.
