    Or like the opening to all the Fargo episodes: “This is a true story. The events depicted took place in -—- in [year]. At the request of the survivors, the names have been changed.” when it is all fiction.

    It means they took one word, generally from the title, added some explosions, nudity, profanity, extraordinary rude behavior, vehicle chases and conspiracy theories to the original child-in-a-well story.
