Green Acres was based on a radio show called âGranbyâs Green Acresâ starring Gale Gordon and Bea Benaderet. It was a spin-off of Lucille Ballâs radio show, âMy Favorite Husband.â But it was a direct spin-off of Petticoat Junction, also starring Bea Benaderet. So it spun off of two different shows, both starring the same actress.
When you think about it, there is a huge difference between an alley and âacresâ, have a sneaky suspicion Imeswine is planning a development on land that he ownsâŠ!

Remember, Green Acres took place on a farm. The actual town in the show was âHootervilleâ. That could take the strip in a whole new directionâŠ
