Green Acres was based on a radio show called “Granby’s Green Acres” starring Gale Gordon and Bea Benaderet. It was a spin-off of Lucille Ball’s radio show, “My Favorite Husband.” But it was a direct spin-off of Petticoat Junction, also starring Bea Benaderet. So it spun off of two different shows, both starring the same actress.
When you think about it, there is a huge difference between an alley and “acres”, have a sneaky suspicion Imeswine is planning a development on land that he owns…!
