From Not Always Right : When There’s Fire, But Not In The Marriage
The fire alarm has gone off in the mall where our store is located. We usher the few customers in our store outside so we can all head outside.
Me: “Excuse me, sir, we have to evacuate due to the fire alarm.”
Customer: “But I’m still shopping.”
Me: “You can continue shopping if it’s a false alarm and we can reopen, but we all need to leave right now.”
Customer: “I need to get a present for my wife! It’s our anniversary tonight!”
Me: “Sir, I am sure your wife would rather have you alive than have a gift.”
Customer: “…You haven’t met my wife.”
Not my story
Been there. My ex waited a while to tell me about it, too.
Based on the stories and heard I’ve read, that is how that all start.
Some things are better left unsaid or kept to yourself.
Some things are best not acted upon.
Judging from the hairdresser’s face, her husband may take the news quite well.
Details, details.
Oops, indeed.
Like a door, the marriage isn’t fully open, it’s just ajar.
Interesting.
So much for popping the question.
That’s not an ‘open marriage’.
That will be soon an ex marriage.
that is usually his line
