The GMO issue is huge here on “the rock”, more people against it than for it. I’m against it, it might be accountable for the increase of childhood allergies. Stuff to think about.
“Environmentally safe growth hormone enhancer”…sounds like something from Monsanto and their ilk. Keep demanding labeling of GMOs!!! I am lucky to be retired and growing most of my own food from Baker Creek seed.
Maine is now drafting laws to promote labeling of gmo poisons in our foods for a refferrendum this fall. Monsanto had thrown many millions of dollars into the California refferrendum last year & were able to keep that law from passing. Monsanto has WAY TOO MANY of our law makers,( or should I say lie makers) in thier pockets. They have ( the lie makers ) passed laws that prevent the big companies from being held responsible for anything they do! That is the most UN american mind set I could imagine. They MUST be stopped!
See Dr Mercola.com & search for “gmo” to find the list of politicians monsanto has bought.
I am not retired yet , but try to grow as much of my own food as I can, & try hard to buy as locally as I can.I great deal of our m odern health problems come from the fact that we are fed & immersed in toxic chemicals from the itme of our birth till the day we die.
I saw the comments, Fellow Baby. I won’t even eat a McDonald’s hamburger. I had one for the first time in my early teens and it turned my stomach. My sister & father were ok with it though. My mom never ate burgers out.
I haw two Turkey-Burgers for dinner tonight. They were fairly decent. I think they are going to be a part of my new diet.Bacon on them would be good, but would ruin the whole reason for eating turkey.
Here in the PNW things grow fast on their own. We try to eat organic and locally grown whenever possible. You can"t always believe labels but we do the best that we can. A few. Onths ago we bought 1/4 of a cow. We don’t eat a lot of red meat, but it is local, grass fed and tasty.
