In 1976, I grew a beard because I had no chin.

In 1983, I shaved it off and found I had two no chins.

I grew it back and I have it still.

The bottom horizontal strip depicts the MAGAt concept of a Free Market.

40,000 years between panels actually has legs. I’d read it.

“Cappy Dick” did time in the joint, went hard-core, and resurfaced as Uncle Cap’n. One more “your childhood ruined.” :-)

I didn’t think “helpful” and “capitalism” could be in the same sentence/ title/ phrase, but rich jerks can always find a way.

Also, the Great Gatsby is about the death of the american dream, right? But is that in the sense that it used to exist and then died because of societal degeneracy (or something), or is that in the actual sense that it was always a grift to keep the masses from recognizing that anyone CAN make it in america, but under capitalism, EVERYONE can’t because there must be an underclass to clean the toilets?

What a long, poorly written question.

I notice that all but 2 are signed, although differently. I get the “F. Scott” and the “Smith”, but not the others…

That looks like Ronnie Reagan fatally ending Gatsby’s pursuit of the American Dream.

In “40,000 years between panels” there’s a major subplot involving Doug that takes place about three years later.

So we beat on, boats against the gazpacho, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Uncle Cap’n just needs to trick the two guys next to him into a fight; while the guard’s distracted, he slips into a bin.
