(My 16-year-old sister and her boyfriend are sitting together before church. A young girl who is in the Sunday school class my sister teaches walks up to them. My sister is shy and very easily embarrassed.)
Girl: “Hi, [Sister]! Hey, who’s that?”
Sister: “Oh, this is [Boyfriend].”
Girl: “Oh, okay.” pauses “Wait, is he your boyfriend?“
Sister: blushing furiously “Er… Yes.”
Girl: delighted “Are you in love with each other?”
Sister: “Uh… Um… Heh… I really don’t know how to answer that—”
(The girl reaches out and pats her on the shoulder.)
Girl: “You just say yes, or no!”
NOT my story, but the ones today are all going to be cute.
When we returned home a buddy of mine received a medical retirement due to some brain damage in the Battle of Hue City. He was by far the happiest guy you would ever meet after the injury which was nothing at all what he was like before the injury. In fact, some would say he was a jerk. Funny thing is that after the injury young women were always coming on to him because they loved his attitude not knowing why he was such a nice and happy guy. The last time I spoke to him he was living a wonderful life with a wife and family and his medical pension with a part time job selling real estate made his life comfortable. With his refurbed outlook on life, he could’ve gone much further in life if the rules of his pension hadn’t restricted the amount of money he could have made working full time. Just goes to show that sometimes the nice guy does get the girl.

Give it a happy thoughts whistle, as in YouTube’s Life of Brian Long Ending Scene Crucifixion, starting about 6:30.
