This is just a rare and obscure form of yoga! Cut ‘em some slack!

Phil doesn’t surprise me at all. But I am impressed that he got the dog to stand like that.

I believe that is a downward facing dog! As for Arnold, I think he is in “Point”.

    Happy Tuesday, everybody!

We have a springtime movie poster to talk about….

from StelBel…. in the April 2nd  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    See it on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

And yes… it does happen every Spring….

a new bassetball movie, that is —

ever since the days when this one was new.

It’s been a long time…. but I remember this being a funny one.

Some sort of impossible chemical reaction creates a kind of rubber that’s repelled by wood….

perfect for “hitting” bassetballs amazing distances, of course…

which turns a nerdy professor into a bassetball star.

Seems like a precursor to the “flubber” created in a much later Dogsney comedy…. “The Absent-Minded Professor” …

which may have kinda sorta borrowed the idea…. even though the substances acted differently.

Doesn’t Jeanie look adorable in her little blue skirt, and (shhhh) purply eye shadow?

Just imagine humans copying a movie where they have to chase balls!

All humans do is hit balls with sticks and wait around for them to come to them.

Not half the wild action of a bassetball game.

    Why bother?

    But bother they did….

and here’s your human poster, Dennis…

But Stel’s basset one is way better!

Is she bending over like that so that the opposing team will be distracted?

    Is he Phil or Arnold?

I suppose Arnold could be the dog’s name…. except I don’t think it’s the dog who’s on point.

Besides, I think the dog is Argus.

You guys discuss it between yourselves and let me know, OK?

I wouldn’t really care, except that I ran into Sylvia, when she was walking Argus on Saturday, and she invited us to discuss Cleo over lunch today.

It would be awkward to know the dog, but call him the wrong name.

Anyway, I think Argus and Phil/Arnold have been going to “Baby and Me Tai Chi” at the Park Rec Building in Ballard Lake Park.

Yeah yeah, I know… but what are we seniors supposed to do when there’s a free class but we don’t have a baby?

Mrs. Pomeroy brought her rabbit, Stanley…. and he can’t do poses at all.

BTW… I posted email info (again) in my answer to Jless yesterday…. in case anyone still wants it.

And no, Jless….I don’t get upset about stuff like that…. just sorry I didn’t get the joke.

But I can’t exactly congratulate anybody else on April Fool’s Day, can I…. I mean, you know… pot, kettle, something about that.

Love all the clever names in today’s poster, Stel. This is one movie I never saw. I’ll have to check TCM or one of them to see if it’s on their schedule.
