(I’m walking through a big dog park, where people often leave their used dog bags behind them, and it gets kind of gross over time. I see a mom bag up her dog’s poop, and then drop the bag on the trail.)
Four-Year-Old Son: “Mommy, you forgot the bag.”
Mom: “Oh, honey, we’ll get it on the way back out.”
Four-Year-Old Son: “But we need to throw it away.”
Mom: “It’s too far to the next trash can. We’ll get it later.”
Four-Year-Old Son: “But Mommy, we can’t just leave poopy behind.” picks up the bag and hands it to his mom “We’ll find a trash can soon.”
Mother’s are great, at least the one’s I know. They love, nurture and when needed discipline their kids. The kids grow up great. I have seen bad mother’s too and the worst are those that kill their babies even before they are born.
Every Mothers Day, my Father-in Law, would tell the story of the sermon a priest he didn’t like, giving a Mother’s Day sermon that started with, “Where is Mother ? Down at the corner bar!”.
I dated (very briefly) a woman who said she did not love her child, although she felt responsible for him. She thought all that stuff was made up by mothers who realized they had made a terrible mistake and did not want to admit it.

They love ’em too. Some with syrup, and some with hot sauce.

I know it’s trite to blame everything on my mom so I work hard not to. Except on Mother’s Day when everything is her fault.

Definitely, there are exceptions, Broomie and Nerwin.

Even Broomie had a mother, we think.
