My kids laughed when I tried to give them the GLARE. Mom, on the other hand…

There were times I probably made my dad wish he’d known more about family planning. He didn’t quit on me though. Good one, Kevin!

Well, given how often they BOTH are dumber than a robot vacuum, maybe he should go find a mirror

My family has the “stare”, and it is a completely female phenomenon which turns up every couple of generations. My first knowledge of it was through my grandmother.

My grandfather was my dad! And greatly loved by me, and all who knew him!

My Dad never laid a finger on us, when we did something wrong he would let us know how disappointed he was in us. Getting smacked would have hurt way less but not done as much good.

I learned the “Glare” from my mom actually. I have refined it to a science today.

Funny how the daughter is excluded in a couple of panels…

My dad would yell. It was like the call of an angry God. He could reduce my older brother to tears up to age 16!

I was the “good kid”. I was the eldest and went into Dad (and Mom’s) field of accounting and worked for dad for a long time before he died. (I still have clients of his who I prepare taxes for – spoke to one of them today.)

I was only hit once and that was more because I had been missing and mom was angry. (When they heard my explanation of being led astray by a “friend” of mine they said it was not my fault. Friend told me that my parents called her parents and I wast to come home with her as they had to do something – they had not and it just her way to get to her house. Gullible? I was 5 at the time.)
