Think depends on how visual focused they are vs olfactory focused. The animal in mirror does not smell like me and therefore isn’t me.
Just noticed this: when Peekaboo is with other cats and animals, she “speaks” to them, but with her reflection (when she presumably thinks it’s another cat) she only “thinks” to it.
