well, it never hurts to ask. and Baldo’s boss did give him praise for the offer, so it’s not a total loss.

as someone who ran retail businesses for 40+ years if you need to tell people you have the power or say you’re the boss you have already lost, respect is earned and when it is, you don’t want or need to explain it.

“OK, then I have the power to say ‘I quit’ and go find a job where I can get more hours and money! I heard the Auto Zone up the street is offering $18 an hour. Bye!”

Really? He’s one of those type of boss?

Sounds like Baldo needs to start a “new job” hunt.

He’s already covering for the nephew. Give him a raise!

Baldo, time to move on to something better

Baldo is doing the work of at least 2 people. He should stop doing it and point this out to the boss.
