Something similar happened to my sister once.We we’re visiting friends at a camp ground and Mom told us to keep our shoes dry before we went exploring.Of course there was a stream – so we took our shoes off to go wading.Well, sister fell in and got completely soaked.She was worried about what Mom would say – but Mom burst out laughing.While everything else was wet, Sis’s shoes were dry!
We were at the Monterey Aquarium when my granddaughter (in her stroller) kicker her shoe off into one of the outdoor displays. The staff went to great lengths putting several poles together with a net to fish it out. They were worried that the seals or something else would try to eat it.
