This is how elections are in America as well except it’s your friends and neighbors and family that are pointing the guns. My friend is being pressured to vote for one side by his parents and family, while pressured to vote the other way by his wife and her family. Likely he’ll vote the way his wife wants him too. Why can’t elections be decent civil things anymore? Why do debates and arguments always turn into character attacks instead of concerns about policies? My friends say the only attacks I make against Trump are character related (while I do make lots against him as a person, I have some against his policies as well) while they go off and target Joe Biden for falling down stairs, or sniffing kids (those kid sniffing videos are fake by the way. They’ve proven that.)
America and it’s spouting of defending democracy is a known joke in the real world. Stripping electoral rolls, putting voting places out of reach, gerrymandering and all the other RW tricks to stop people from choosing who they want to represent them are as bad as any of Putin’s efforts. There should be outside observers to watch over your elections to make sure they are fair and the perpetrators of the dirty tricks should be put in jail for the next 3 election cycles at the very least.
