Compared with lean women (BMI 18.5â22.9), obese women (BMI â„ 30) had 79% lower odds of healthy survival to the age of â„70 (95% CI 71â85%).âThe latest data indicate that 39.6 percent of U.S. adults are obese. Another 31.6 percent are overweight.
