When I worked construction, over the years I saw WAY more “Bad Luck” or just plain weird things happen on a lot of Monday the 13ths than any Friday the 13th. Garfield is right about Mondays!
Since, strictly speaking, the weekend is just Saturday and Sunday, removing a couple of Fridays wouldn’t shorten any weekend. It would give a couple of four-day work weeks.

I have an idea: Instead of calling it “Friday the 13th”, let’s call it “13th The Friday”

You could call them Friday after the 12th. Or before the 14th. Or to make to really simple: Or Friday the 6th Prime.

I find Monday the 13th to be more problematic.

What about Friday the 26th. Double bad luck.
