Of course this leaves out the context. Martin Quintana, who filed the suit, wanted them declared sandwiches, so that he could open a second “The Famous Taco.” The Fort Wayne Plan Commission had blocked him for years because location was only licensed as a sandwich shop. Judge Craig Bobay gave Quintana the green light to open up.

For years I avoided things I didn’t know on Mexican menus. Then I tried a torta, delicious! Now, especially at taco trucks, I ask them to serve me whatever they want. It’s always great.

Hear me out. A PB&J sandwich, wrapped in a burrito, stuffed into a taco shell. ;)

You think these things are silly but there was a HUGE international dispute in the European Union over whether Jaffa Cakes were to be taxed as cakes or cookies. It was finally determined they were indeed cakes. One of the cinching arguments was that cookies get soft when stale, while cakes get hard.

    Tomatoes are still considered vegetables.

Does anyone actually buy tortas? I have never tried one. I tried a gordita once and “meh.” I still would like to try a huarache to see if it’s any better.
