Note, actual meaning of poopdeck, the deck or outdoor floor of ship that is also the roof of a cabin.

Some nautical terms really are self-explanatory.

I certainly hope there is plumbing involved and not just a hole, otherwise someone’s cabin is pretty, umm smelly…(I was going to put another s-word).
