Usually, when I distribute treats, I have to yell “missing a body!” for all four to show up.

City ordinances require that pet dogs and cats be on a leash when they’re outside. Moggy will live a long life, and neighbors will be happy Moggy isn’t peeing and pooping in their yards.

I rescued a 6 month old feral back in November 2017. The second night she was in the house, I could not find her anywhere and I had to head out to choir practice. I opened every door, drawer, cabinet and no Freyja. I left a note for my husband to continue the search when he got home. 3 hours later, I am back and he was also unsuccessful in his search. Out I went to walk through the neighborhood calling her name. Mind you, it was about 20F and spitting ice. I came back around midnight, again unsuccessful in my search. I was bawling like a baby because it was cold and if she had snuck outside, she was now 25 miles from her original territory. My 13 year old cat then walked over to the kitchen cabinet where we keep the trash can and meowed. I opened it (we had both checked there already) but no Freyja. I then took out the trash can, and there she was. Apparently, she had somehow been able to open the cabinet and then got stuck inside. Feral cats don’t meow so she never cried out. It took her 13 months to learn how to meow.

When we moved to the city with our cat Stormy, she disappeared the first day. We finally found her in the ceiling of the fruit cellar. There was a small gap she climbed into. Luckily, she meowed when we called her in there.
