My understanding is before the repubs got their panties in a bunch many Mexican migrants came to do farm work or other seasonal employment then went back to Mexico for the winter. It was only after border crossings became tougher that they didn’t go back. Surely there’s a way to fix this, perhaps it was in the bipartisan border bill the private citizen Trump ordered his minions to not vote for.
