He simultaneously demonstrates why he’s accomplished so much and why we’re so worried. I don’t know who can persuade him to give up the keys, President emeritus Carter? Pelosi & Schumer? Clintons and Obamas? An intervention from all of them led by Cliburn? We face a prospect of Putin taking Ukraine and turning to the Baltics, while institutional protections are dismantled at home.
