Tomato-No-No
I am taking a customer’s appetizer order:
Customer: “I’ll get the chips and salsa.”
I bring that out to her table and then she asks:
Customer: “Oh, I ordered the tacos for my entrée but make sure the tacos don’t have tomato because I’m allergic.”
Me: Politely. “You should stop eating the salsa immediately if that’s the case.”
Customer: Looking me straight in the eyes. “No, they are blended so it’s okay.”
You’ll see something but probably not what you wanted to see.
“We’ll see” is up there on the list with other important things like “We need to talk” ….All things that will set off a guy’s internal alarms.
Very true.
When my Mother said: “We’ll see. It was a definite ‘No’.”
And here I just cleaned my glasses.
Our kids (and also I) knew it meant “no way in h#!!” when my wife said “we’ll see”. “maybe” actually meant it might be possible.
The era of false hope!!!!!
Indeed.
It’s not like you’re giving away secrets
Especially if that woman is a mom. (Unless you can get Dad to intervene).
That rule applies to dads too.
