Not sure why he would go all the way to Manchester. Newcastle is nearer and has a great nightlife.

The lad has a nose for trouble and an ear for trickling water.

How far is Manchester from Hartlepool? And is the canal the only connection?

That canal may not be home, but it will certainly feel like home.

Andy’s talent is sort of built-in.

I was shocked when I was told by a “fellow” worker, who lived in Manchester, that the house she lived in when she was a child had an outhouse for a toilet. She said her life style improved when her family moved out into the country. It seemed rather reversed to what one would expect.

Taking a quick dip should startle you enough to get your sense of direction back.
