LOL! Casual Friday made sense in an office setting, where people could almost be thought of as wearing a uniform on weekdays (shirt, tie and suit for men; either dress and jacket or pantsuit for women). It makes no sense at all in a performing art like magic, where the ‘uniform’ is part of the act (tux and top hat so the magician can pull rabbits out of the hat)…
