There might have been a real meteor shower coming when this was first done. I don’t remember. Delaware is one of those states that clouds right over every time there’s something cool to see in the cosmos.
There have been some with booms. They had lots of broken windows from one. Another one that flattened a forest was in so remote an area, there may have been nobody around to hear it.
