I can totally see myself doing that with my siblings and/or friends when we were kids. One time at a tourist attraction, my brothers and I stuck poses off the path as if we were some of the statues, until some people came along and started wondering aloud about it, and then we jumped up and ran to join our parents.

Wallace has too much time on his hands… ;)

I remember back in the 1970s we’d be driving down Route 1 in Southern Rhode Island in a big old station wagon with a bunch of us kids in the back making weird, demented faces at the tourists in passing cars. It was always a celebration when some driver would return the “favor”.
